From the process of constructing our product we have learnt how to use the camera's and which way is best to get certain shots to give certain effects. When we did our preliminary task no one had any experiance of camera use, this meant that in our opening we had alot more experiance of how to use the camera and when/when not to use the tripod. From using the editing software, Final Cut Pro we have learnt how to cut down certain shots to length we needed and also how to add affects to create better sense of the genre. In Final Cut Pro we used many different technique's such as cutting to cut down lengths of some scene's adding music and credits. Once the music came in the opening became alot more intresting and made it look alot more like a horror film. It took a while to get the hang of how everything works but once we had cut a few shots down and created realistic scene's it became easier.
As our opening is set at night time we tried to film when it was dark to give it a horror effect. Our first attempt was not that good as we couldnt see the filming once it was uploaded, from this we learnt filming in the dark does not make it visable on final cut pro. We thought it would be easier to film when it was lighter so we could make it darker on Final Cut Pro.
